Hello and welcome to the Western Water Channel website! If you are interested in the future of water resources in the American West then you are in the right place. The Channel is a multidisciplinary student club based at Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. Formed in 2019 we recognize that water resources are an increasingly important topic and being based in the Headwaters region of the Colorado River the action that we take flows down to affect the entire West. Our goal is to bridge the communication gaps that have formed around water resources and channel information between university students and Western U.S. communities in order to promote sustainable and resilient action.
